The final school of the Integrated and sustainable water management of Red-Thai Binh rivers system in a changing climate project, funded by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affair as part of its development cooperation program, started today in Da Nang (Vietnam).
The school is composed by two parts (see the PROGRAM):
- From System Modelling to Policy Design: This part provides basic concepts and knowledge on the methodologies that are nowadays available for the design of policies for the management of water reservoirs systems. A bottom-up approach is presented and illustrated, step by step, both in the methodological and in the practical aspects. A series of computer-based tutorials guides the attendees through the process and expose them to the use of the system software (Red-TwoLe) that have been designed and implemented in the IMRR project .

Tools and methods for climate change impact assessment on water resources systems: this part provides basic concepts and knowledge on top down climate change impact assessment on complex water resources systems. A series of computer-based tutorials will be used to guide the attendees through the process and expose them to the use of state of the art methods and tools.
