Journal paper on residential water demand

The journal paper “Benefits and challenges of using smart meters for advancing residential water demand modeling and management: A review“, authored by Andrea Cominola, Matteo Giuliani, Dario Piga, Andrea Castelletti and Andrea Rizzoli has been published on the Environmental Modelling & Software journal.

The paper contributes a comprehensive review and classification framework of the state-of-the-art works in the field of residential water demand modeling and management. This field has been undergoing quick changes and evolution in the last two decades, especially since the advent of smart metering technologies. The status quo of the field, emerging trends, challenges and future developments are presented and revised.
